On the weekend of June 3rd till June 5th, the Levante beach of Santa Pola was witness to the 3rd World SUP Festival Costa Blanca 2022. This competition has worldwide coverage in the paddle surf circuit.
The championship was divided into three intense days of competition:
- On Friday: 200 m sprint Spanish championship
- On Saturday the Eurotour trial was held on the Island of Tabarca. This is an international competition with the Open 7 km and the Elite 15 km events.
- On Sunday the Spanish Cup was held.
During these three intense days, over 450 athletes from different countries such as Slovenia, India, Australia, Germany, Japan, France, Peru, Italy… a total of 21 countries were represented, a 50% more participants than the previous year and this places the championship as a landmark event for sport tourism at a national and international level.
